Cala en Baster is a rocky cove on Formentera's Tramuntana (north-facing) coast near Sant Ferran. Official tourism describes rock platforms, sandstone walls and clear water for a quiet swim and snorkel, with no sand and no facilities. Its landmark feature is the caves fishermen cut into the sandstone to shelter boats. The Guía de Playas lists about 250 by 20 metres of gravel and rock with few visitors.

The way down is rocky; wear proper shoes. It is a poor choice in an easterly wind. Bring all water and shade, because nothing is sold on the shore. Nearby Sant Ferran has shops and, on some evenings, the craft market if you want noise again after a silent swim.

Naturism is listed. The absence of sand and services keeps the cove specialised: snorkellers and people who like rock ledges more than beach towels. Clothing-optional use fits the low-key mood when the cove is quiet. Give cliff edges and cave mouths a respectful berth; they are working heritage as much as scenery.
