Nudist Beach in Adra
Adra Area
Adra is the westernmost coastal town of Almería province, on the Costa de Almería between the greenhouse plain of the Poniente and the cliffs that carry the N-340 toward Motril. Official Adra tourism puts the municipal shore at 13 kilometres and describes a mix of urban sands with lifeguard cover, showers, a cycle lane and beach restaurants, plus quieter corners, a dog beach and a nudist beach. The town beach of San Nicolás sits in the built-up centre beside the old San Nicolás sugar works, and Sirena Loca grew after the harbour was built in 1911. Children and adults alike will enjoy the promenade sands, the chiringuitos and a lazy day on the dark gravel and sand that is typical of this coast.
Official Adra tourism and the municipal beach ordinance name one shore where the town hall has authorised naturism. Since 2017, Playa La Juana has been the exception: an isolated, low-occupancy virgin beach at the foot of the N-340 cliffs, about 350 metres long and 10 metres wide, with dark sand, native plants, wind and a moderate swell, and access that the town hall itself calls difficult on foot. Nudism is prohibited on the other listed municipal beaches and coves. This site does not yet list a beach page under Adra, so La Juana is named from official copy and is not linked here. Wear shoes on the cliff path, expect no urban services, and keep the family town fronts textile.
