Es Caló
Es Caló de Sant Agustí is a small fishing hamlet on the Tramuntana coast between Sant Ferran and the climb to El Pilar de la Mola. Its heart is a natural harbour ringed with whitewashed huts and wooden boat ramps (escars) laid out in a radial pattern, protected as cultural heritage since 2002. Beside the harbour, Ses Platgetes offers alternating rock and sand in clear water. The Guía de Playas beach listing is about 100 by 30 metres of sand and clay.
This is a place for a quiet swim, a plate of fish, and a look at working boat culture rather than a long sandy hike. The Guía text also nods to the pine fringe and the colour of the water as part of the charm. The Camí de Sa Pujada, an old cobbled path up to La Mola, starts nearby for anyone wanting a walk after swimming.
Parking exists for the village; it fills in peak season. Naturism is on the Guía de Playas record. Around the harbour and busiest restaurant front, swimwear is the norm. Clothing-optional use is more likely on the smaller Platgetes pockets a short walk away when they are quiet.
Treat the escars as living heritage, not photo props to climb on.
