Platja de Llevant
Platja de Llevant faces east along the same Es Trucadors spit that holds Ses Illetes on the west. In places the two beaches are only about fifty metres apart, so you can cross the dune on the walkways and change shore with the wind. The Guía de Playas lists about 1,450 metres of fine white sand. Official tourism notes a broad beach with rocky outcrops that create quieter corners, a long dune system and a small pine and juniper belt between the sand and the salt ponds.
Because it faces the morning sun and often catches a light easterly, Llevant usually feels less enclosed than Illetes. Waves can be a little more lively. There are restaurants and kiosks in season, but the overall look stays open and almost free of buildings. Access shares the natural-park road and car parks with Illetes, so the same seasonal vehicle fee applies.
Among Formentera visitors, Llevant is one of the stretches most often chosen for naturism. Clothing-optional use is common along much of the beach, especially away from the busy southern approaches and any service areas. There are no hard painted zones; people space themselves by custom. Families in swimwear and naturists share the same shore without much fuss when everyone is considerate.
Southwards the sand links toward Ses Canyes and the Es Pujols side. Northwards it runs out toward Punta des Trucadors. Stay on the boardwalks through the dunes, and do not try to wade across to Espalmador.
