Sant Jaume d'Enveja sits on the southern hemicycle of the Ebro Delta, in the Montsià, facing Deltebre across the river. Like its northern neighbour it is a delta town of rice, canals and long sand, inside the natural park and the Terres de l'Ebre biosphere reserve. A river ferry and the lanes across the paddies are as useful as the car. The village is low and agricultural. Visitors come for birds, bicycles and empty Mediterranean sand at the river mouth, including the Buda island shore. Amposta and the AP-7 are the inland links. Park only where it is allowed; the dunes and lagoons are the reason the reserve exists. Wind and mosquitoes are part of the delta, not a footnote.
There are 2 nudist beaches in Sant Jaume d'Enveja, El Serrallo and Playa Illa de Buda, open public shores where visitors can spend quiet days among sand, river and sky. Naturist use is a custom on this very long shore rather than a city enclosure. Take water, respect ropes, and do not drive onto the beach. Pair the sand with a bicycle loop or the ferry toward Deltebre if you want both halves of the delta in one day.
