Torredembarra is a Tarragonès town on the Costa Daurada, north-east of Tarragona city, with a castle, an old quarter and a long sandy shore that includes the Muntanyans, a protected dune and wetland system on the Altafulla side. Official Costa Daurada materials place it in the family-sand belt between the provincial capital and the Penedès edge, served by the regional railway and the N-340 and AP-7. The town beach and promenade are urban and busy in summer. Els Muntanyans is the other landscape: boardwalks, dunes, and a lagoon belt that is a natural space first and a beach second. Stay on the walkways. The castle and the fishing quarter of Clarà are the short cultural visit if you have come only for the sand. Tarragona's Roman ensemble is a short train ride west.

There is 1 nudist beach in Torredembarra, El Muntanyans, the dune-backed public shore where visitors can spend quieter days among sand and wetland. Keep off restored dunes, keep dogs where they are allowed, and treat bird and plant protection notices as binding. The town promenade remains the family and evening front. Altafulla, the next station, shares the same dune system and makes an easy paired walk if you want more than a single beach stop.
