Stretching along these coasts, north as far as Vinaros and south to Torrevieja, the province encompasses a large area and is home to the popular cities of Valencia and Benidorm. Throughout the coastal regions of the province are many of Spain’s most popular tourist resorts. To the north, on the Costa del Azahar is the beautiful capital city of Valencia. Further south, on the Costa Blanca is the famous party city of Benidorm and the Large town of Torrevieja. The interior of the region is mainly mountainous with deep valleys and rivers interspersed by dusty plains and agricultural areas.
