Pontedeume is the medieval bridge town at the mouth of the ría of Ares, where the Eume meets the Gulf of Ártabro. Official Galician tourism presents the stone streets, the Andrade tower and the long bridge that gave the town its name, together with the English Way of St James, which passes through on the walk toward Betanzos and Santiago. The Fragas do Eume, a riverside Atlantic woodland, lie a short drive inland. Visitors arrive by the AP-9 or the FEVE. Children and adults alike will enjoy the harbour, the market square and the family sands closer to the centre.

There is 1 nudist beach in Pontedeume, Insua, a small rural sand at Boebre listed on turismo.gal as a fine, open beach on the English Way. It is a public corner for lazy days in the sun rather than a marked enclosure. Expect a short walk from the parish road, fewer services than the town front, and mixed use. Do not treat the whole Eume shore as a single naturist strip.
