Bueu Area
Bueu is a fishing town on the southern Morrazo, between Cangas and the ría of Pontevedra, and the usual mainland gate for the island of Ons. Official Galician tourism presents the harbour, the working fleet and boat trips into the Atlantic Islands National Park. Ons belongs to Bueu. Park visits are booked; the national park asks visitors to stay on marked paths and keep off the dunes. Children and adults alike will enjoy the harbour, the mainland sands and, with a reservation, a day on Ons.
There are 3 nudist beaches in Bueu. On Ons, the park page for Melide calls it the sand furthest from the quay, with the island's best-preserved dunes, and records a nudist tradition (tradición nudista). Mainland Bueu also lists Pedrón and Sartaxens, public coves on the more broken shore toward O Cabalo rather than marked enclosures. Check the park booking system before you plan Ons, stay on the boardwalks, and do not treat the whole Morrazo or the whole island as a single naturist strip.
