O Grove Area
O Grove is the shellfish peninsula at the mouth of the ría of Arousa, joined to the O Salnés mainland by a narrow isthmus. Official Galician tourism presents the harbour, the seafood market and a coast of dunes, pines and small sands toward San Vicente and the outer Atlantic. Sanxenxo is the neighbouring resort; A Illa de Arousa lies across the water. Visitors arrive by the PO-308. Children and adults alike will enjoy the harbour, the family beaches and an evening of local shellfish.
There are 2 nudist beaches in O Grove, Aguieira and Castiñeira, imported pages on the more broken shore rather than marked enclosures. They are public corners for lazy days in the sun, a favourite with those who prefer a little more privacy than the main isthmus sands. Read the people around you, expect mixed use, and do not treat the whole peninsula as a single naturist strip.
