There are many excursions within an hours drive of Benitachell including some excellent 18 hole golf courses. The international airport of Alicante is less than an hour’s drive and the popular city of Benidorm is just over half an hour. Benidorm is ideally located close to the stunning Guadalest Valley and Algar Waterfalls which attract thousands of visitors each year. The road up to Guadalest is a taster of things to come, winding ever higher it passes through the village of Polop before ending at the castle that sits high above the valley. The castle ramparts and Penon de la Alcala tower offer breathtaking views all the way to the Bay of Altea. There is a small castle village where refreshments can be enjoyed in one of the cafe’s. Not far from the valley, visitors can explore the mesmerising Algar Waterfalls and if feeling brave, can take a dip in one of the icy cold pools.
Benitachell is all about relaxing, taking a step back from the hectic pace of daily life and recharging your batteries. Take a stroll along the beach, try your hand at fishing off the breakwater or be daring and visit one of the official nudist beaches in Benitachell, both located within walking distance of the village.
