Zarautz is a Gipuzkoa surfing and family resort west of Donostia/San Sebastián, on the N-634 and the Euskotren line between the capital and Zumaia. Official Euskadi calls Zarautz Beach the largest sand in Gipuzkoa and the longest on the Basque Coast: about 2.5 kilometres of golden sand, open to the sea, with a promenade of bars, cafés and restaurants, several surf schools and a busy summer lifeguard service. The eastern end meets the Iñurritza dunes, a Natura 2000 site. Visitors come for surfing, the town centre and lazy days on a wide, well-equipped front. The official sheet lists playgrounds, assisted bathing in season and national and international surf events.

There is 1 nudist beach in Zarautz on this site, the same long urban sand filed as Zarautz. Official Euskadi lists nudism among the beach services, and the official Basque Coast brochure names Zarautz among the community's naturist places. Guía de Playas records partial nudism on an otherwise high-occupancy urban beach. Treat that as a mixed custom on part of the sand, usually toward the quieter eastern dunes, not as a claim that the whole 2.5-kilometre promenade is a naturist enclosure. Read the people around you, keep the central awnings and surf peaks as the family and sport front, and do not invent a fenced zone that official tourism does not publish.
