La Aldea de San Nicolás, often shortened to La Aldea, is the remote west-coast municipality of Gran Canaria, a deep agricultural valley that opens to a small town beach and then to some of the island's wildest cliffs. Official Gran Canaria tourism still uses Güigüi as a postcard of the west: a long walk or a boat from the nearby coves, dark sand under high walls. The GC-200 from Mogán or Agaete is slow and scenic. This is not the Maspalomas hotel belt. Tomatoes, goats and a compact town centre set the pace.
There are 6 nudist beaches in La Aldea de San Nicolás. The Guía lists nudism as practised on all six, mostly isolated. Güi- Güi Chico and Güi- Güi Grande are the two dark-sand Güigüi strands, each a little over 350 metres, noted as difficult on foot or by boat. Tasartico is a longer boulder and gravel shore with car access in the inventory. Aneas, Descojonado and Lioguicha complete the list. Bring water, start early, and do not treat the town's everyday bathing beach as a naturist strip.
