Puerto del Rosario is the capital of Fuerteventura and the island's ferry and government town, a working harbour with a sculpture-dotted waterfront rather than a purpose-built resort. Official tourism treats it as a base for the whole island: the airport is close, buses fan out to Corralejo, the inland villages and Jandía, and the town itself has a compact centre of cafés and open-air art. Children and adults alike will enjoy a harbour walk and a day trip rather than a week on the capital sand alone.
There is 1 nudist beach in Puerto del Rosario on this site, Janubio, an isolated sand and gravel strand of about 230 metres that the Guía lists as practised for nudism, with car access. It is not the famous salt pans of Janubio on Lanzarote, which belong to Yaiza. The capital's everyday urban beaches are not listed as separate pages here. Treat Janubio as a quiet inventory shore, not a second Maspalomas.
