Sant Pol de Mar is a small Maresme town between Calella and Canet de Mar, on the Rodalies R1. Official Costa Barcelona and Maresme materials present it as one of the prettier, more compact stops on the rail line: a village that still reads as a place to walk, with a parish church above the sea, narrow streets and a sand-and-rock shore rather than a single hotel boulevard. The railway runs between the old town and the water, which gives Sant Pol its particular geography: you drop from the station toward coves and platforms of rock. The town has restaurants, a summer population and a much quieter winter, and it is a favourite with visitors who want the Maresme without the largest resort crowds.
There are 2 nudist beaches in Sant Pol de Mar, La Murtra and Roques Blanques, rocky walk-in corners rather than the main family beach below the town. Costa Barcelona's own guide points naturists toward the quieter beaches between Sant Pol and Calella, beautiful locations with clear water and a stillness that is hard to find on the open sands. Wear comfortable shoes on the paths and enjoy a slower corner of the same coast.
