Nudist Beaches in Cabanes
Cabanes is a village that lies a short distance inland on the Costa del Azuhar in the Province of Castellon. Well known for its 2nd Century Roman arch and castle ruins, the village has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants and is just a short drive to the beautiful beaches of Torre de la Sal and Ribera de Cabanes. In November each year the village holds the St Andreu Fair and Market, one of the oldest fairs in the Castellon Province that has been declared a Festivity of Provincial Tourist Interest. The fair has over 400 stalls offering a good variety of handicrafts, local produce, art and agricultural exhibitions.
The village is in an ideal location for nature lovers as it is bordered by El Prat de Cabanes Natural Park and is just a short distance from the Natural Park of Serra D’Irta. El Prat is an Internationally recognised, picturesque wetland area of 800 hectares which has natural springs that keep it flooded throughout the year. The park enjoys a variety of flora & fauna including some endangered species of fish and the largest colony of Collared Pratincole in the Province of Valencia. Close to the town of Peniscola, Serra D’Irta stretches south along the coast and inland in a stunning array of secluded beaches, rocky coves, wilderness and rocky climbs interspersed with hiking trails where visitors can walk for miles without seeing a man made structure.
Cabanes is a popular choice for visitors with caravans and motor homes or those who enjoy camping. Torre la Sal 2 is a fantastic camping an leisure complex located right on the beach, just a short distance from Cabanes. There are a great choice of accommodation options including, pitches for tents, caravans and motor homes as well as dome shaped Eco bungalows. The wonderful facilities include, 6 swimming pools, jacuzzi’s, water slides, play areas, disco, gymnasium, football pitches, tennis courts, table tennis, archery and much more. There are restaurants, bars, a supermarket, massage centre and dog grooming parlour. Throughout the complex and campsite there is free WI-FI. Close to the campsite, visitors can spend the day sunbathing on one of the 2 nudist beaches in Cabanes. Although neither are official, nude swimming and sunbathing are practised.
