Arico is a south-eastern Tenerife municipality of inland villages, terraces and a low lava coast between Granadilla and Fasnia. It is a quieter neighbour of the Costa Adeje strip: more agriculture than nightclubs, more TF-28 viewpoints than promenades. Visitors from Tenerife South Airport are only a short drive away, yet the pace is local. Porís de Abona is the better-known coastal settlement on this shore. Official island tourism still sends most south-coast guests to Adeje and El Médano; Arico remains a place people pass through for viewpoints, goat cheese and a swim away from the hotel towers.
There is 1 nudist beach in Arico, Cueva de la Arena, an isolated sand, rock and gravel cove of about 70 metres that the Guía lists as practised for nudism, inside a habitat of community interest, with easy foot access. It is not a marked town-hall enclosure on a resort promenade. Take reef shoes and treat the everyday Porís sand as the family swim.
