El Sauzal Area
El Sauzal is a small north Tenerife municipality on the Tacoronte-Acentejo wine coast, a balcony of laurel and vine above high cliffs. Official island tourism sends visitors here for lookouts, a cooler climate than the south, and glasses of local red rather than a resort promenade. The TF-5 motorway from Santa Cruz and La Laguna is the road. Puerto de la Cruz and the Orotava valley lie just to the west. Children and adults alike will enjoy the village gardens and a vineyard lunch. The cliffs themselves are the show: a drop to dark water rather than a sandy holiday shelf.
There is 1 nudist beach in El Sauzal, La Garañona, an isolated sand of about 1,300 metres in a protected landscape. The Guía lists nudism as practised and notes boat access. This is not a village swimming pool. Do not invent a casual stroll from the plaza. If you go, treat it as a serious coastal outing and check sea conditions first.
