La Orotava is the historic town of Tenerife's richest agricultural valley, a streetscape of balconies and churches under the pine road to Teide National Park. Official tourism sends visitors here for the old town, the valley lookouts and the TF-21 climb toward El Portillo, one of the park's northern gates. UNESCO inscribed Teide in 2007. Puerto de la Cruz, the old port of the valley, is a neighbour rather than a page on this hub. Children and adults alike will enjoy the town gardens and a cooler day than the south.
There are 2 nudist beaches in La Orotava. The Guía lists nudism as practised at both, as isolated sands in a protected landscape, with difficult foot access. El Ancón is about 200 metres; Los Patos is a much longer strand of about 900 metres. These are cliff-foot shores, not the lido of Puerto de la Cruz. Wear shoes, take water, and keep the historic centre as the family visit.
