San Cristóbal de La Laguna, usually called La Laguna, is the old inland capital of Tenerife, a grid of coloured houses and university streets that UNESCO inscribed in 1999 as the first unfortified Spanish colonial town. Official tourism treats it as a full-day cultural visit from Santa Cruz or the north airport, which sits on the municipal edge. The Anaga rural park and biosphere reserve occupy the north-east of the municipality, a different world of laurel forest and cliff hamlets. Children and adults alike will enjoy the pedestrian streets, the churches and a cooler climate than the south.

There is 1 nudist beach in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Troche, an isolated boulder and gravel shore of about 390 metres that the Guía lists as practised for nudism, inside the rural park and biosphere reserve, with difficult foot access. It is not a city lido. The historic centre has no beach. Treat Troche as a serious Anaga outing and keep the cathedral square as the family stroll.
