Mont-ras is a small Baix Empordà municipality inland from Palamós and Palafrugell, on the edge of the Gavarres and the coastal pine. Official Costa Brava copy treats the jagged shore between Palamós and the Cap Roig and Calella de Palafrugell coves as one of the fiercest stretches of the Costa Brava, reached on foot by the camí de ronda. Mont-ras itself is a village with a church and scattered masies rather than a resort promenade. Visitors usually stay in Palamós, Palafrugell or the campsites under the pines and walk down to the rocks. The C-31 and GI-652 are the road approaches; there is no station.

There is 1 nudist beach in Mont-ras, Cala del Crit, the walk-in rocky cove whose name, "the cry", is an old local story rather than a modern brand. Official guides mention El Crit among the coves south of Calella de Palafrugell, a favourite with those who like a quiet swim among pines and stone. Wear shoes, expect little in the way of services, and bring water. A family naturist campsite, Camping Relax-Nat, operates in the municipality according to its own site; that is a stay, not a second beach on this page. The village itself is inland and quiet.
